Aliza Friedman, DPT
Aliza graduated from Touro College in Manhattan with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Her passion for working with children started in high school when she volunteered and later worked at a multidisciplinary early intervention clinic in Montreal. She went on to work at a pediatric outpatient clinic in Chicago where she stayed for over 3 years, working with children ages 0-21 with a variety of diagnosis including developmental delay, stroke, cerebral palsy, torticollis, autism etc.
Aliza is a big believer in evidence based practice and always turns to the literature when creating and implementing a treatment plan. For Aliza, the most rewarding part of her job is watching her patients reach their goals and full potential. When she is not working, Aliza enjoys spending time with her family, ice skating, skiing and watching hockey games!

My son (now 4) has only been receiving physical therapy for about a month, but already we are seeing so much progress. My son took to his therapist immediately and so he views his sessions as a highlight of his week; his time to play with Miss Aliza is always a joy. He had trouble hopping, balancing, etc… and now he is gaining so much more strength and confidence in his own abilities. My son also has Type 1 Diabetes and I always know he is in good hands as Aliza is well versed in diabetes care and always asks about his blood sugar before his sessions. Thank you!
Our daughter saw Aliza Friedman for gross motor delay. Through our time with Aliza, she made tremendous progress. Aliza worked hard to keep our baby happy during sessions and cheered with us when she did her first roll and her first independent sitting session. We are so grateful for Aliza’s expertise and encouraging support. We still email her with questions and she happily responds. We highly recommend Aliza and the PT!
Aliza Friedman was excellent and made a huge difference in our daughter's life. I was so nervous about finding the right therapist for my daughter. Aliza was so flexible and professional. She came to our daycare center twice a week for 9 months straight. She was always on time and was proactive in scheduling around the holidays. Since we were not at the appointments, she made sure to keep us informed through email and even sent us pictures and videos to document our daughter's progress. I can not thank her enough for the time and attention that she spent with us and our little girl. She made sure that we got her the right shoes and gave us helpful tips along the way. She even came to our home when the daycare center was closed. We were so fortunate to have her in our lives. My daughter is very strong willed so Aliza was constantly thinking of ways to make the exercises fun. Thank you again Aliza. We will never forget the difference you made in our daughter's life.
